![]() So back to what I was saying originally, if your best lineup is not +EV in the first place (which as we know is most people as 80% to 90% of the player base have negative ROI's), each additional entry is just losing you money. ![]() This type of strategy is comparable to buying many lottery tickets with the caveat that each additional ticket you buy has a lower chance of winning money than the previous ticket (this is assuming that almost everyone will enter their "best" lineup first and any change you make to that will have a lower EV). There are several reasons for this, but one of the main ones is this mindset that people have because of how much "luck" you need to cash in a GPP, it is a good idea to put in numerous entries to "cover all your bases" and increase your chance of cashing (this is especially true in lower entry GPP's). Long story short I used to play 80% cash 20% GPP, but switched over to 100% GPP after I saw that my GPP ROI was significantly higher than my cash ROI, and also that scores in GPP's were observably lower on average than cash. ![]()
